My favorite sports are gymnastics and volleyball. In the fall I played Volleyball. It was so much fun. But sometimes I got annoyed because I could only get a good serve over in a REAL game. In practice, I didn’t make it over the net once, but I always did at games. Still, I just love volleyball. Mrs. Melito is really nice and helps us a lot. Now, I am on the gymnastics team. Holly Haid, Caroline and Kathleen buffington, Laura Carr, and Maggie Sinkler are the other seventh graders. I really like it. Right know, Kathleen and I are working on our beam routines. I HATE bars. I am so bad at them. When I was 5, 6, and 7 years old I would hide in the bathroom during our “bar time” at gymnastics. I like to stay on the ground, except for beam. I don’t like vault either. I also LOVE shopping, makeup, clothes, jewelry, parties, boys, drawing, swimming, more parties, dancing, music, movies, lots of boys, and just hanging out with friends. Just everything that (most) girls love. xoxo Lanier
Last weekend, a big group of people hopped on the four hour bus ride to Windy Gap. Windy Gap is a Christian based weekend camp with Wyldlife or Young Life. There was free time, but also time spent reflecting on God. On Saturday, during freetime, Reeves, Caroline H, Emily B, Gayle, and I had a mud fight. Later That night, we each picked a spot around camp to go sit. All of the lights were off and we could see the stars. We were supposed to thank Jesus and God and talk to them. When your outside surrounded be stars you really feel like Jesus is right next to you. Then I thought, when are the times I don’t feel that way? My answer was school. I know that sounds weird. At school we are rushing around, worrying if we are late to class, or going over vocab for the test. I never calm down and feel like God is right next to me, even though I know He is. It took Windy Gap for me to realize that. xoxo Lanier
Everyone has a bad day once in a while, sometimes worse days than others. If I had to say one thing that cheers me up when I’m in the dumps it would be my friends. When they cry, I cry. When they laugh, I laugh. Inside jokes between friends cheer me up. No one else understands them and inside jokes bring back great memories. Just seeing my friends in the halls lifts me up. Also, funny music videos make me happier. Here’s one the funniest “feel good” videos ever: Shopping also makes my bad days better. Everything about shopping is great. Long lines, over-crowded stores, and ridiculous prices are the only negative parts for me. But, I just LOVE to shop. Shopping with friends is the best. We don’t care if we buy anything. Trying clothes on and taking pictures is just as good. I don’t care if it is a pretty day, shopping is my life. If you are having a bad day, you can try these ideas. No one likes bad days. Try spending time with family, friends, or go shopping; hope for the best.!
